The Role of a LINK
LINKs serve as experienced dialogue partners who contribute professional observations, questions, and perspectives to monthly conversations. LINKs are not expected to tutor, evaluate, supervise, or have all the answers.

The Role of a Student
Student participants enter as emerging professionals preparing for the transition into working practice. Students bring fresh academic perspectives, foundational knowledge, and developing insights to each LinkUp.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria
Hold an active interpreting credential (BEI or RID).
Be actively practicing within the profession.
Commit to 1 monthly LinkUp (~1 hour) from Sept–April.
Complete a brief post-LinkUp reflection form.

Enrolled as a senior in a participating interpreter education program.
Meet program-specific institutional readiness criteria.

Rather than relying on simple availability or algorithms, program administrators carefully review LINK Profiles to build thoughtful, compatible pairs.

Matched pairs review community commitments, receive monthly materials, and schedule their first LinkUp to kickoff the cohort.
